Founder and President
David Cook was born in 1966 in Willows, California and is a fourth generation farmer. Growing up on a rice, alfalfa and a seed crop ranch he understands the importance of being a great steward of the land.
In 1995 David moved to the wine country and continued his passion of farming. In 2006 he celebrated his 100th vineyard development. He is the founder and Sole owner of Cook Vineyard Management and is fully involved in the day to day vineyard operations. In 2008 he released his wine label, David Cook 2006 Syrah that was grown in two vineyards he developed in 2002.
In 2014 he was elected to the Sonoma City Council where he is currently serving as Mayor Pro Tem (2015). He is an active member with the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce (Past President 2014), Sonoma Valley Vitners and Growers and the Sonoma Valley Executives. David enjoys teaching people about the importance of agriculture.

Viticulturist and Director of Vineyard Operations
Dino Amantite is a fourth generation grape grower. At the age of 13, he began working on the family’s Pagani Ranch in Glen Ellen, and he continues managing the ranch to this day. Residing in Kenwood with his wife and two sons, Dino has a strong love of the land and the great outdoors.
For nineteen years, Dino worked at St. Francis Winery and Vineyards, where he served as the Vineyard Manager and Director of Grower Relations.
Dino joined CVM in June of 2009.
Director of Farming Operations
Don Cook joined CVM in 2005.
He is responsible for all farming operations and transportation services.
Don Cook also owns Cook Limousine Services.
Assistant to the President
Jennifer Irving comes to CVM Grapes with more than twelve years of experience in communications, client relations, and special events planning.
Jenny grew up in Sonoma and has a degree in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Rhode Island.
She is a parent of two school-aged children, an avid runner and a wine enthusiast.
Vineyard Managers and Developments Supervisor
Ismael Yuriar moved to Sonoma Valley in 1995 and is responsible for vineyard developments and production in established vineyards. He has worked with David for the past 13 years.
Jesus moved to Sonoma Valley in 2000 and is responsible for production in established vineyards.
Leopoldo Tellez moved to Sonoma Valley in 1995 and is responsible for production in established vineyards. He started working with David in 1998.
Ramiro Garcia moved to Sonoma Valley in 1995 and is responsible for production in established fruit trees and olive orchards. He has worked with David for the past 13 years.

Our viticulture department utilizes the latest technologies and implements the best farming techniques for each vineyard. Due to the different varieties and micro-climates in California it is important to set standards to be reached during the growing season.
